Romero Games

Romero Games Ltd. is an indie game production company founded by John Romero and his wife Brenda Romero on August 11, 2015. It’s in Galway, Ireland. This is Romero ‘s ninth study in his career and has released two titles now, a third being created.

Upon leaving Ion Storm in July 2001, John Romero collaborated with Tom Hall to create Monkeystone Games in 2001, before leaving for Gazillion Entertainment in 2005. Romero and Brenda Brathwaite, creator of apps, got interested on March 24.

They were married in 2012, and on October 27, 2012. Romero’s wife collaborated alongside Romero as the production chief and Brathwaite as the art director and planner on the Ravenwood Festival. In November 2010, they have formed the Loot Drop social game business and collaborated with the Cloudforest Expedition and Ghost Recon Commander. In August 2015, John relocated to Ireland with Brenda Romero and set up Romero Games Ltd. together.

The first title of the project was a modern Dangerous Dave HD edition of Deserted Pirate’s Hideout 3, introducing fresh visuals and music to the popular game that he developed and published of 1990, albeit only for a smartphone. The second title from the company was Gunman Taco Truck, released on Steam (Windows and Mac) and ios and Android smartphones in January 2017.

In March 2017, the company revealed that a range of influential indie game developers had formed the Romero Games team to create a new project to be released.
