From Software, Inc. is a Japanese corporation established in November 1986, best known as the developers of the Armored Core game, Demon’s Souls, King’s Land, Otogi, Tenchu, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro; Shadows Die Twice.
Kadokawa Corporation declared in April 2014 its plan to acquire the firm from its largest owner, Transcosmos. The deal was signed on May 21st, 2014.
With 15 games produced so far, Armored Core is the longest-running franchise on its sector. Armored Core: Judgment Day was unveiled for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Japan on September 26 2013. Including Armored Core, From Software is also known for the Otogi and Tenchu series which have close ties to Sega, which has sold several of its games outside Japan. The app also produces the Chromehounds fighting game as well as the Enchanted Weapons and King’s Field role play games.
In 2009, they launched a Demon’s Souls, which gave the developer unparalleled critical success. Motivated by demands from international customers and assisted by Bandai Namco dealer, the product was distributed in North American and European markets a year back. The mystical counterpart, Dark Souls, was released in the West in October 2011, well above critical as well as selling estimates. A successor to this edition of Dark Souls 2, which was compatible for Windows since April 2014, was launched for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in March 2014. At the E3 2014, another mystical series of the saga was revealed. Bloodborne, launched exclusively for PlayStation 4 on February 5 2015.
