Ever since Microsoft was forced to spill the beans on their Xbox systems following a leak, all eyes are now on Sony to give more details on the PlayStation 5. Fortunately, it looks like Sony is finally going to bare all at the PlayStation 5 Showcase on Wednesday, September 16th at 1:00 PM (PDT).
Sony has confirmed its PlayStation 5 Showcase will run about 40 minutes long and show off some titles releasing for its next-generation console. There are a lot of amazing titles coming for the PlayStation 5 like Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Ghostwire Tokyo, and Demon’s Souls.
Hopefully, we’ll get to see a lot more at the PlayStation 5 showcase. However, what Sony fans are really waiting for is news on the console. There are a couple of questions Sony needs to answer in response to Microsoft. Sony needs to confirm the price of their console, they need to make sure they release official specs to see if they can compete with the smaller Xbox Series S and whether the PlayStation 5 will also have a smaller console similar to the Series S.
The price is the most important news everyone has been waiting for. Even though many PlayStation players will get the next-generation console regardless of price, some gamers are still on the fence about whether they’re getting the Xbox Series X or the PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, right now, the Xbox Series S seems like the best option for those on a strict gaming budget when it comes to price. If PlayStation has an answer to the Xbox Series S’s affordable price, players might be swayed to go with the PS5 instead because of their stronger launch titles. Unfortunately, the delay of Halo Infinite has cost themselves some brownie points with those hoping for a strong launch for the Xbox Series X, and that’s why Sony needs to come out swinging with their PlayStation 5 showcase on Wednesday. What are you hoping the price would be for the PS5?
