Will Resident Evil Village Be On The PlayStation 4

When Chris Redfield came out of a helicopter at the end of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, we all took off our PSVR headsets or put down our PlayStation 4 controllers to take a breath. Unfortunately, for some, that might have been the last time we played Resident Evil on the PlayStation 4.

Why Is That?

When Resident Evil Village was announced at the PlayStation 5 event in June of this year, PlayStation fans rejoiced, especially those who enjoyed Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. However, that celebration quickly subsided when there was no confirmation of the game releasing on the current generation PlayStation console at the time. This left many to wonder if Resident Evil Village will release for the PlayStation 4.

Will Resident Evil Village Be On The PS4?

Some PlayStation 4 users waited until the end of the stream, hoping there would be news about Resident Evil Village for the PlayStation 4. One of the producers for the eighth installment of the main Resident Evil game, Tsuyoshi Kanda, confirmed that the previous generation consoles are a possibility.

Whether or not players who haven’t picked up the PlayStation 5 yet (or don’t plan to for another year or two) will get to play the game on the PS4 is still up in the air. At least we’ll get the best possible experience from Resident Evil Village on a next-generation console.

Unfortunately, there’s no confirmation other than a “maybe” regarding the PlayStation 4 version of Resident Evil Village.
