Potential Little Nightmares II players are wondering if they can play on their 21:9 monitors. 21:9 monitors offer more immersiveness, but not all games support the ultra-wide format despite them offering a wider field of view. Now that the game is out, we don’t have to speculate about whether Little Nightmares II has ultrawide support or not. Unfortunately, Little Nightmares II currently doesn’t support 21:9 monitors.
The developer’s reason for not having ultrawide support was that they didn’t want players to see what was around the corner. The developers feel ultrawide support would ruin immersion for Little Nightmares II. However, many players don’t buy that excuse and are still pushing for 21:9 support anyway.
Some players have found a way to play Little Nightmares II in ultrawide by playing the GOG version and changing the hex values of the game. Others simply use external mods to force Little Nightmares II to have an ultrawide aspect, but others are getting black bars on the side of the game that ruins immersion.
Will Little Nightmares II Have 21:9 Monitor Support?
Those pushing for ultrawide support understand it’s the developer’s choice not to include it, but they are still disappointed, nonetheless. However, the developers insist on their stance that Little Nightmares II will not support borderless display for 21:9 resolutions.
That means we may never see ultrawide support for Little Nightmares II. Hopefully, there’s enough demand if there’s ever a third game.
