The Resident Evil Showcase on January 21st showed some gameplay, had a couple of announcements, and introduced an anniversary game. However, one of the biggest announcements from The Resident Evil Showcase was the demo.
What Is The Resident Evil Village Demo?
The Resident Evil Village demo, known simply as “Maiden,” won’t put you in the shoes of Ethan. You’ll take control of a Maiden without any combat abilities. You can’t guard or use guns. It’s not really a demo as much as it’s simply a showcase of the visual and audio capabilities of the PlayStation 5.
What About The Other Systems?
Unfortunately, the Resident Evil Village visual demo is only exclusive to the PlayStation 5. However, that doesn’t mean there won’t be a demo coming soon. It was already confirmed that a multiplatform demo is coming to the other systems sometime in the spring. We’re not sure if this demo will be a visual demo as the “Maiden” is for the PlayStation 5, or if we’ll get to try some combat gameplay.
