Left 4 Dead is back, but it’s in the form of a spiritual successor because Valve wants to keep up its weird niche of only releasing two games in a series and never having anything with a “3” in it.
The Trailer Brings Back Left 4 Dead Vibes
The Back 4 Blood world premiere video shocked viewers of The Game Awards 2020, but it didn’t look like anything that we’re not used to already. The trailer for Back 4 Blood shows four people mowing down groups of zombies with seemingly endless ammo.
There Were Special Infected In The Video
The video showed a variation of the spitter from the Left 4 Dead games. It looks like they were able to retain the concept behind their special infected from the Left 4 Dead series. There was also a special infected in the Back 4 Blood premiere that acted like (but didn’t look like) the boomer from Left 4 Dead.
The end of the trailer showed what we assume is Back 4 Blood’s version of a tank.
What Special Infected Were In Left 4 Dead?
Between Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, there were:
- The Boomer
- The Hunter
- The Smoker
- The Tank
- The Charger
- The Jockey
- The Spitter
- The Witch
It looks like the boomer, spitter, and tank were already covered. We’re afraid to see what Back 4 Blood’s version of The Witch or The hunter will be since they were the most menacing ones.
