If there’s anything you should know by now on the internet, it’s to take everything you hear with a grain of salt. Unless there’s an official confirmation from a reputable source, you should assume we’re only making educated guesses. However, it’s hard not to speculate wildly when online retailers accidentally post pre-orders, an internal leak, or someone finds a way into the system to dig for leaks. Either way, there’s plenty to speculate about when it comes to the next Resident Evil game.
When Is Resident Evil Village Coming Out?
There’s no doubt Resident Evil 8 (or Village, according to the producers) will come out in 2021, but when? A recent Capcom leak (from the result of a ransomware attack) puts the eighth game in the series following the same January-April release date window of the previous Resident Evil titles (including the remakes).
What Else Was In The Capcom Leak?
While the Capcom leak released some information surrounding other Capcom titles (like the Monsters Hunter series), there is also word on the street that Resident Evil Village will work for Oculus VR. This is big news for those disappointed by the PSVR version of the previous game, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
Is The April Release Date Confirmed?
Right now, there is no official confirmation of Resident Evil Village’s release date. While there’s no doubt they could follow the same pattern of the previous games, the current pandemic might throw things off a bit.
We’ll have to wait and see. Are you looking forward to Resident Evil Village? Which platform are you picking it up on?
