1. Anno 1800 (9623 Unique Users)

Anno 1800 takes place in the middle of the Industrial Revolution. It focuses its gameplay on the administration of various social classes to keep our city running.

The different industries and businesses require specialized people to carry out their respective tasks: Farmers to plant fields and raise animals, Workers to operate the machines of the new factories, and Craftsmen to create all kinds of comforts and luxuries.

These individuals need a place to live in. From simple farmer houses, we will move to better worker housing and beautiful artisan residences.

This game is recovering the essence of Anno 1404, but without forgetting the leap into the future of the latest series.

2. SnowRunner (6787 Unique Users)

SnowRunner is a driving game that departs entirely from other games in the genre. It offers us an adventure where we are going to have to make the best of ourselves and of the different vehicles that we are going to have the opportunity to drive.

We put ourselves in the shoes of a character who will have to drive many and varied vehicles, completing different types of trucks while visiting the extensive map that the title has.

There is some sandbox with cars where we will have to go between different points on the map doing missions. We will complete this map as we play.

3. Shogun 2 – Total War (6474 Unique Users)

This series was set in Japan in the 16th century (Sengoku period, feudal), when a war leaves the country divided, with many warrior clans. Ten legendary warlords fight for supremacy, but only one of them can win. The video game invites you to immerse yourself in the character of Daimyo, the leader of the clan.

Total War Shogun 2 offers two types of strategy. On the one hand, a turn-based game phase that involves managing the map and solving battles automatically. We can put ourselves in the shoes of the soldiers to lead them.

4. Total War – WARHAMMER II (4351 Unique Users)

Total War: Warhammer II is developed by Creative Assembly and distributed by Sega for PC. It is the sequel to the acclaimed strategy game in real-time Total War: Warhammer.

We now travel to new and distant continents with up to four new races that will fight to gain control of the Great Vortex, under the threat of destruction of the Old and New World. Thousands of years ago, the place is besieged by an invasion of Chaos, a conclave of High Elven wizards forged an enormous arcane vortex.

Its purpose was to extract the Winds of Magic from the world, to generate a great whirlwind that would absorb them to send the demonic hordes back to the Realm of Chaos.

5. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (4305 Unique Users)

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the latest series of the well-known Ubisoft saga. It is playable for free until March 23, 2020. The platforms available to do so are Xbox One (including Xbox One X), PlayStation 4, and PC.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey takes place in Ancient Greece when the Golden Age of Athens is still there. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has reminded us that this is not going to go around killing people with an increasingly powerful character. It has reminded us that there is a conspiracy that encompasses time and space, which will burst anytime. It is going to give a twist to Odyssey’s visual and conceptual style.

6. Grand Theft Auto 5 (3843 Unique Users)

For a year and seven months, keyboard and mouse lovers have had to wait to enjoy one of the most desired games on the compatible market after its first release on PS3 and Xbox 360 and later on PS4 and Xbox One. The game title is Grand Theft Auto V.

The fictional city of Los Santos, which is based in Los Angeles, and the south of the state up to its border with Mexico, is the scene of this series again. It replicates many of the things we saw in San Andreas.

Best of all, 27 million units have sold, GTA V introduces industrial quantities of novelties in the franchise. The one that stands out is for the first time is that we have three protagonists instead of just one. It is a fact that brings a whole new dimension to the game.

7. Mount & Blade II – Bannerlord (3810 Unique Users)

When Mount & Blade was first launched in 2008, it already offered an almost complete simulation of a lord’s life during the medieval war. We could muster village troops to fight epic battles, aid or oppress the weak, give our name prominence, and gain more and more power.

We can be the vassal of a sovereign, or even finally gain our own territory. Although the title was quite rough, it became one of the most memorable medieval experiences.

Later, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord has offered us new approaches, such as becoming our own king and many other features that have persisted until the sequel came out in early access on Steam.

Each person uses different ‘strategies’ to cope with quarantine in the best possible way. Obviously, the age ranges, the peculiarity, and even the sociocultural level of each of the households pose very different scenarios.

  1. I would have likely contributed to the players of GTA 5, great game! And in the middle of world crashing I guess getting immersed in a game is a good idea. Love it! Great idea to make a list like this, gives us insight on what’s trending.

  2. Well the GTA went really viral again for those playing “roleplay”, and Warhammer is indeed a great game, always been each of them. About the strategies to cope with quarantine, I’m just glad many people joined the videogame community, many people saw all the good things and are able to share and have fun remotely!
