It’s been ten years since we were able to beat up Ramona Flowers’ ex-lovers with her, Scott Pilgrim, Kim Pine, Knives Chau, or Stephen Stills. Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World was based on the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels, and it’s something so iconic that it released the same month as the film of the same name starring Michael Cera.
Unfortunately, players only had a short four years to play the game digitally before it left our hearts in December 2014. Despite the mixed reviews it received on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation, it was much-beloved by gamers who were also fans of the Scott Pilgrim series.
For six long desolate years, fans of the game and series would wonder if they would be able to jump back into the World of Scott Pilgrim world to beat up some woman’s ex-lovers. Fortunately, Ubisoft recognized a demand for a complete edition of the game appropriately named, “Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition.”
We’re not going to wait very long for the title either, as Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition will release for the PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Stadia will be here in time for the 2020 holiday season. Not only is Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition coming with the original game, but it will be accompanied by its original DLC that brings two more playable characters and other content.
The announcement trailer on September 10th’s Ubisoft Forward is only over a minute long, but it’s enough to elicit a nostalgic reaction from those who thought the game was forever going to be lost in the annals of time. Players and up to three friends will get to rediscover the beautifully done 2D beat ’em up game with the Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition sometime before the end of 2020, which isn’t very long now.
