We continue our walkthrough of the Omori Hikikomori Route after going back to bed in the real-world. We did nothing when Mari asked to come inside, and that’s good practice for the Hikikomori Route. However, doing nothing during Mari’s scene at night doesn’t affect the Hikikomori Route.

After going back to sleep as Sunny, you’ll awaken again as Omori in the White Space. Nothing seems out of the ordinary in White Space, for now, but you cannot leave through the door yet.

Click on the laptop. When you click on the laptop in White Space, you’ll get a small jump scare before the screen shows you a hangman game. You need to collect different letters in Omori Hikikomori Route as you progress to finish the game.

After closing the laptop, the screen will shake, and you will receive a message “something fell nearby.” Walk around White Space (avoiding the red hands, for now) until you find a map.

This is the Headspace Map. It’s the map of the entire dream world in Omori. You will explore all of these locations on the Hikikomori Route and more.

Now that you’ve located the Headspace Map in White Space, walk to the door. Now, you’ll have the option to open the door to the Neighbor’s Room.

When you enter the Neighbor’s Room, you’re greeted by Aubrey, Kel, and Hero, who tell you that Basil is missing and that you should seek out Mari for help. There’s nothing more to do in the Neighbor’s Room except go outside. Collect 200 clams from the snake. What does the snake represent? We’ll find out later in Omori.

Walk outside of the Neighbor’s Room towards the Forest Playground. You’ll notice something different. Red footprints are leading down towards the Forest Playground. These red footprints lead directly to your first key in Omori, the A key. Pick up the A key for the hangman game.

Walk down to the Forest Playground and speak with Mari, who doesn’t know where Basil is either. After a brief discussion, Mari, Omori, and the friends decide the first place to check is Basil’s House to the south.

However, before you leave the Forest Playground, there are a couple of new things to note. Check the board where Berly posted the Boss poster to see a new wanted poster with Pluto. We’ll meet Pluto later in Omori.

To the bottom left is Shawn lying on the ground. Speak with Shawn to look up at the sky and learn Omori’s first skill: Observe. The Observe skill in Omori allows you to predict who the enemy will target during their next turn.

Go to the left side of the Forest Playground to see an NPC named Daisy with a side quest marker above her head. Speak with her to start the Flower Puzzle quest.

You will also find your first floating mirror in Omori in the middle of the Forest Playground. Now, it’s time to find Basil, but where is he?
We’ll have to find out in The Omori Hikikomori Route Part Three.
where is basil?
