The last week of October is upon us, and we’ve had a relatively decent month of gaming already. While we’re not going to get any many scary games in the week of Halloween, there are some exciting titles to look forward to.
Looking at the cover art for Ghostrunner, one can automatically assume it’s going to take place in a dystopian future with some form of rebellion against a repressive government. While everything about that assumption by looking at the cover art is true, it does take a different spin on the concept of being able to fight in cyberspace.
It’s like a marriage between The Matrix and every 70s dystopian movie ever. However, the thrill of Ghostrunner is the ability to either kill or be killed in only one-hit. It’s almost as if it’s a game set permanently in a hardcore setting. Ghostrunner will release on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows on October 27th, 2020.
Watch Dogs: Legion
Ubisoft is having a very busy year, and Watch Dogs: Legion, set in a futuristic fall of London, is finally coming out soon. We were supposed to have seen Watch Dogs: Legion earlier in March 2020. However, it was delayed until sometime in 2021. We were all ready to forget about it until Ubisoft announced in July that the game would come out in October 2020 for current-generation consoles at their Ubisoft Forward event.
The next-generation consoles will see Watch Dogs: Legion during their launch days of November 10th for the Xbox Series X and S and November 12th for the PlayStation 5. Probably the most exciting feature of the game is being able to control anyone in the game and use them as allies to help liberate London from a dystopian state.
Which of these two late October titles are you looking forward to the most?
