Teamfight Tactics (TFT) is a car fighting video game created and published by Riot Games. It is initially released as a Windows and macOS League of Legends game mode on June 26 2019. It debuted on March 19, 2020, outside Southeast Asia, for Android and iOS. However, it was postponed until the end of 2020.
The League of Legends Teamfight Tactics has been influenced by Dota Auto Chess. It is a Dota 2 team that competes with seven separate enemies by creating a champion squad, leveraging synergies and equipping the last position. Teamfight Tactics is composed of Champions and Legends League products. Yet Teamfight Tactics ‘s design is distinct from other modes of the League of Legends because during battle periods players have little power over the players except for their Little Legends. In contrast, the players influence the champion in the game in other League of Legends modes. Each level of Teamfight strategy involves multiple stages of creep stages, player vs player rounds, group draft and creep rounds. Before each round, players can install or adjust champions’ places in their combat fields for 30 seconds (also known as the Arena), and players can deploy their units.
In April 2020, Riot Gaming named the Galaxies Championship as the first regional Teamfight Tactics event. In August 2020, seventeen eligible players from 10 regions will bid for US$ 200,000 prize pools.
In preparation of the Galaxies Tournament, Red Bull sponsored a massive tournament with a bonus pool of $150,000, and Twitch Rivals arranged a smaller competition with a limit of $100,000, in conjunction with Riot Games.
