Now that the Lycan attack is over, you are approached by what seems to be a kindly old woman.
The Lycans have run away in her presence and now things are calm in the village.
Maybe it’s her smile? Why wouldn’t it be her smile?
After checking the nearby houses for items or any crates you might have missed, it’s time to follow the old woman. She knows something about your daughter, but she’s not going to guide you there. The first place you’ll need to check is the castle in the distance.
Head into the nearby house that contains some Lei (currency in Resident Evil Village), Chem Fluid, and a Scribbled Note File. You’ll also find a locked drawer, but there’s nothing in the room that will unlock it. You’ll have to ignore it for now.
Now, it’s time to head to the Village Square. Walk up to the statue and use your gun to shoot at the light spot on the shield. You’ll get a Crystal Fragment you can sell once you meet the Duke later in the game. Take a look around the village square where you’ll find some useful items.
As you continue on your adventure in Resident Evil Village, you’ll come across a curious shrine that has a wooden goat on it. It may be cute, but it’s something you’ll want to destroy as these are collectibles in Resident Evil Village. Keep exploring every inch of Resident Evil Village to find more collectibles. You can also read the engraving underneath the wooden goat.
After meeting your first Goat of Warding, it’s time to check out the graveyard and the church. You can explore it to find some items like an herb.
You can either follow the path to the church or follow a sign directing you for a Stronghold. Unfortunately, if you follow the latter, you’ll come across a locked door. This will be your first major puzzle in Resident Evil Village, but how do you unlock it? Find out in Resident Evil Village Walkthrough Guide – Part Eleven.
