Resident Evil Village Walkthrough Guide – Part Seven - The Second Encounter

In our last Resident Evil Village guide, we just stepped into a barn house and heard the static from a mysterious radio.

Resident Evil Village Walkthrough Guide – Part Seven - Ethan hears static from radio in the barn

The radio static will continue until you walk up to it, but then the sound will mysteriously disappear and will be replaced by a strange noise upstairs.

Resident Evil Village Walkthrough Guide – Part Seven - Ethan finds handgun amno near the barn window

Look towards the window and you’ll see an item you can examine. It is handgun ammo, you’re going to need it. Now, it’s time to investigate the noise upstairs. Is it another survivor of the village?

Make your way to the stop of the stairs and you’ll see some chem fluid on the floor and even more handgun ammo.

However, as soon as you go for the handgun ammo, you’ll be confronted by lycans. There are many of them, and there’s no way you have enough handgun ammo at this point to take them all at once.

You can either use some of your bullets to work on the one in the window, or you can push the dresser to block the window to save yourself some time.

Despite any efforts to block out all the lycans from the house, you’ll still encounter one that gets through. Just like the first encounter with the lycan in the old man’s home, block any attacks and shove the lycan back. This gives you a chance to get a few headshots in to take it out.

Once you’ve finished off this lycan, the rest will disperse. As you’re headed outside you should approach the radio again. The radio will tell you that any survivors need to head to a secret house on the other side of the Village. However, when you step out to start that adventure, you’ll see the lycans perched on the rooftops.

  1. I am not sure what was going on with my game but I was being targeted by lycans over and over again. Seems like no matter what I did, they just kept coming and I ended up losing ammo and having to restart. I tried this 4 or 5 times before giving up and looking for a solution. The option you mentioned with pushing the dresser in front of the window was not appearing for me and now I see I appear to have had some sort of glitch which would explain why they never stopped coming. Knowing this, I saved the game in a new file and bam! Problem solved. Everything worked out as you mentioned. Thanks for the information and straight forward walkthrough of this bit. Everyone else wrote way too much and didn’t show any pictures.
