Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a survival horror video game developed and released by Microsoft Windows on January 24, 2017. It is also available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PlayStation 4 edition is featuring full support for the PlayStation VR. It is the eleventh title in the main Resident Evil series, and, unlike any of the other franchise titles, it is the first-person game.
By comparison to the previous Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil 7 sticks to the survival horror origins of the series, emphasizing discovery. The player controls Ethan Winters in pursuit of his wife Mia on a desolate plant inhabited by a band of cannibals who solve puzzles and battle enemies.
Capcom’s New Internal Graphics System, Resident Evil7: Biohazard was driven by Koshi Nakanishi, also director of Resident Evil: Revelations, and was the first full RE System game to use. One year before his E3 2016 launch, it was described as a mixed reality show entitled Kitchen. Resident Evil 7 also earned P.T. references. Silent Hills, Konami’s horror video game is canceled, but Capcom noticed that its production began way ahead of the demo.
The game was viewed as a positive return to the series ‘original formulation, The action, visuals, and architecture were lauded, and the boss’ fights and final chapter were criticized. The edition of PlayStation VR has been very well received, despite suggestions of reduced quality and physical pain from fans. Two more DLC chapters were also published, which extended the game’s background, one completely free: Not a Hero and another paid: End of Zoe. The game shipped more than 6 million copies worldwide in December 2018.
