Dying is inevitable in Phasmophobia. We get our money back through insurance on lower difficulties, but walking around throwing items as a floating specter isn’t very fun (even though they gave us the ability to pick up and throw items like a poltergeist). That’s why they should implement a one-time way of reviving dead players.
Why One Time?
One word: balance. It wouldn’t be as terrifying to die if we knew we could revive fallen players as many times as we wanted. Think of a revive as a second chance in life, but in a video game.
How Would We Revive Dead Players?
If one of our teammates dies, then they’re out for the rest of the game. Unless they’re on Discord, you won’t be able to communicate with them (and vice versa) for the rest of the round. If they’re going to implement a one-time revival, it should be in the form of a defibrillator that spawns randomly in different parts of a map (like a fuse box). It shouldn’t be an item already handy in the truck. It would make it more fun (and challenging) to have to look around for a defibrillator as we’re sweeping each location.
Do you think we should have the ability to revive dead players in Phasmophobia?
