Phasmophobia has had a lot of changes over the past couple of months, from changes to the ghost’s passive activity to the hunting phase. Now, it looks like the hunting phase will make finding EMF evidence a little harder.
What Is Changing With The EMF Reader?
The EMF reader is one of the tools needed to find ghost activity. Any reading above one means there is ghost activity in the area. The EMF reader also doesn’t necessarily mean the player is in immediate danger. A reading of an EMF level 4 indicates the ghost is manifesting. Anything lower than that (but above 1) indicates ghost activity (such as interactions or throwing an object).
However, some people would use the EMF reader to try to pick up an EMF 5 during a hunt, but that has since changed since the last beta patch.
Now, the EMF reader will flash randomly during hunts. Think of how the flashlight flashes during a hunt. The EMF reader will flash random numbers during a hunt. This is meant to confuse players and keep them from relying on it to pick up possible EMF evidence during a hunt.
What do you think of the changes to the EMF reader in Phasmophobia?
