Welcome back to our Omori walkthrough guide as we continue through the Sunny route. Now we know the “How” behind Mari’s death, but we need to know the “Why.” At this point in the Omori walkthrough, we still don’t know why Mari was killed, but now we know that Basil and Sunny had something to do with it.
After the battle with Basil comes to a draw, Sunny appears in the intersection on the street of his neighborhood.
The lighting changes as you follow the black cat back towards Sunny’s block.
As you head into Sunny’s block, head towards his house to see Basil standing there.
Basil will greet you as if nothing happened before letting you know that he’s ready to tell the truth.
At this point, you’ll have to make the decision about what you’ll do with your truth. Will Sunny tell the truth about the death of Mari? Before Sunny and Basil admit to Mari’s death, we’ll need to learn the “Why” behind the death.
Basil will give Sunny a hug before deciding that it’s time to go inside the house. But this is clearly still a dream so who will they be speaking to? Is everyone inside waiting for Basil and Sunny to admit to Mari’s death?
It’s a lovely day outside, but as you enter the house, you’re getting a screen with a small key that says, “Don’t forget, it’s in the toy box.”
What’s in the toy box?
When you enter the house, you’re greeted by Mari sitting at the piano.
If you walk up to Mari, you’ll see a familiar Window. If you remember, this is the same Window from the guilt-ridden dream where Omori and Mari say their goodbyes on the pier near the water. Mari tells you that you’ve been through a lot, will Mari finally tell us why she died? We’ll find out.
