We’re still doing a bit of backtracking here because we want to make sure we haven’t missed anything important in the Otherworld. We already explored the frozen lake and decided to continue heading East to see what we’d see.

We come across a cattail forest full of interesting creatures, a tall person, a ladder leading down into the core of the Otherworld, and a lonely crow. There’s not much from the tall person other than a reminder that Kel wishes to be tall. Recall Kel’s dialogue in the real world where he yearns to be as tall as Hero.

We come to find that there’s a reason there are some lonely crows hanging around. There’s a scarecrow near the middle of this forest looking for his friends.

Well, that’s why you have Hero. Switch to Hero for the remainder of this side quest.

The next crow is to the south and, after running around for a little bit, I realized this isn’t a new part of the map. This is the part of the map where ghost Basil had us chasing memories before leading us to a barn.

Lo-and-behold, the barn was right here. However, you can’t bring your friends inside to show them the horrors you’ve seen.

Depending on where you entered (in our case, we entered from the west) the las crow is near where you entered.

After you grab all of the crows, Mr. Scarecrow thanks you. You think that’s it, he will sit there with crows on his shoulders forever. However, in typical Omori fashion…

…the crows lift the scarecrow away into space. Um, okay?

At least we got a 5-leaf clover out of that.
