I took some time to pick up the remaining keys I missed along my adventures in Omori.

I picked up the K key in the art gallery in Sweetheart’s Castle.

I also had to pay a couple thousand clams to pick up the S key in the clam on the highway. There were a couple of things I saw along the way, obvious side quests that only appear after you leave an area, but I wanted to get through my first blind playthrough of Omori before I work on the Sunny Route (which is apparently the one I’m working on now) comprehensive guide. I’ll also work on the hikikomori route for Omori, so look forward to that.

After grabbing the last key, I took Pluto’s Spaceline back to the forest, where we encountered the silhouette of Basil.

He walks south towards his house. You’ll notice, along the way, that all the flowers are dead.

It is possible to water them, but I’m not sure what purpose they serve.

As you continue along the path, you’ll see Basil’s dialogue. It’s the same dialogue from your first walkthrough towards Basil’s house.

You’ll notice, as you head south, the path becomes longer. As you continue south, it seems almost endless as the trees wither away and die the more you walk.

Eventually, you’ll make it to Basil’s grove.

The inside is completely devoid of life. Head inside Basil’s house.

When you go in, you’ll see a large crater. Have Omori jump down.

You’ll come across a black beach. Walk onto the sand, and make your way through all of Omori’s anxieties (stairs, spiderwebs, swimming, etc.).

Eventually, you’ll come across a coffin with Mari’s body. Be prepared for a jump scare here. I wasn’t ready. It took me a minute for my heart to settle.

Once my heart rate went down, I entered the door into black space. I would suggest saving here before continuing.

I started making my way through each door.

Each one puts you through otherworldly areas. Follow the path in each one to grab the keys.

You can interact with the silhouette of Basil in some areas; each one (while looking radically different from the next) has obvious paths for you to follow, and when you’re ready to leave, find a red hand to teleport you back to the beginning of Black Space.

There is one that is particularly disturbing. When you cut open Mrow, you have the option to stab yourself.

There is another one that’s also disturbing. When you find Basil, continue right into the darkness. You’ll come across an area with watermelons. Break them all until Basil himself is broken. That’s when you find a key and the red hands come out to bring you back to black space.

When you get through the door with the beach, there are photos you can click on, but that’s not what you have to do. Simply go out into the water for the key. The red hands are found deeper in the sand.

After leaving that area, I came across a door with a red light on it.

When I went in, I followed the path up the stairs to find a key and a save point. I suggest saving here.

Continue north, and you’ll see the church from Faraway Town.

When you enter, you’ll find Basil slowly descending into darkness. It gives you the option to save him or not. I chose the “yes” option.

After choosing to save him, you’ll get a small scene from the inside of Omori’s house where Basil is grabbed by something through the door. Follow the blood through the door to find Basil grabbed by the red hands.

Omori ends up stabbing him before ascending to a throne of red hands.

After what I just experienced, it was nice to find Sunny waking up by falling out of bed. You’ll notice that Hero isn’t in the blanket fort. Walk outside of the room, where you’ll see a light coming from the piano room.

When you go in, you’ll see the ghost of Mari sitting at the piano and playing a song. There’s no scare here, but I was expecting one.

However, Hero will come in and get scared. He tells you to head upstairs, where he’ll meet you.
