It’s time to head into the Last Resort, where Omori and Kel must find their friends so they can quit.

Before you head in, there’s a mailbox right outside if you want to stock up on items. There’s a new item here, “Rotten Milk,” and I bought one just to see what it does. I’ll let you know when/if I ever use it.

As soon as I entered, I saw Nose running the front desk. I also saw Shawn and Ren to the side. They’re all working. When I went to talk to Shawn and Ren, I was approached by one of the Gators for battle.

I was taken aback when the Gator Guy approached me. I wasn’t ready for a battle, especially with only two members.

However, I figured out a strategy with them. Since Kel has the faster speed of the two, I use his follow-up to throw the ball to Omori. Omori tosses it to the Gator Guy for damage while making him ecstatic. I’ll queue up a Hack Away to take down the gator guy in one turn.

They also give a butt-load of clams. I might do a bit of grinding in here, but I don’t want Omori and Kel to be too over-leveled by the time we find Hero and Aubrey.

Kel will sometimes run off in battles to play slots. He’s only won clams so far, but I’m afraid the reason why these Gator Guys give up so many clams is that Kel might lose some. Regardless, I continued running a train through the Gator Guys using this proven strategy of loading up Omori’s Hack Away to do extra damage with Kel’s follow-up.

Walk around this floor of the casino before heading to the elevators. You’ll come across some interesting NPCs. One, called Shark Pickle, will offer you a fact about shark or pickles for a combo meal. I don’t think it was worth it, but I only had one combo meal.

Make sure you’re talking to every NPC you can interact with. You never know what you’re going to get.

You’ll find a Dealer Jash who offers milk for a decent price. It’s not a terrible grab, especially since you’re earning 400+ clams per Gator Guy.

If you try to head up to the elevators, Kel will tell you that he needs to use the restroom.

Head directly down the stairs and go to the door with the blue sign on it.

Notice the P key in the bathroom.

Kel will use the restroom, but Omori isn’t okay with the fact that he didn’t wash his hands.

Make Kel wash his hands. If you haven’t noticed already, there’s a “P” key above the toilet.

After picking up the “P” key, there’s a hole nearby. Clicking it will have Omori fall down a hole where he’s placed in a dark room with two video tapes. I clicked the one on the left and picked it up (not knowing the other one would disappear, so I’m not sure which one that is).

Put the tape into the television to get a short scene with Mari (or someone I assume is Mari) and Sunny.

After you’re finished in the bathroom, head to the elevator. It doesn’t matter which one you enter. The entire elevator is Mari’s save blanket. From here, you need to explore the other floors until you find the Cool Key Card to get to Aubrey’s floor.

I started in the basement, where there’s only one room. It’s a break room full of Gator Guys, but they won’t attack you because they’re on a break. There’s a blue watermelon here that contains a punching bag.

The punching bag has no stats, but it does start the user off as angry at the start of the battle. This could be useful in some situations. I’m not sure if it’s worth sacrificing any stats, though.

Make sure you click on everything and open up every locker in the breakroom.

Once you’re done in the basement, go straight for the 2nd floor from the elevator. You’ll see some familiar faces from the park.

You’ll also run across Jogen, who challenges you to Rock Paper Scissors for his life savings. I’m sure you’re meant to win regardless of what you choose, but I wasn’t surprised when his life savings was three clams.

If you go into the room on the left, you’ll see a bed with a doll on it.

If you throw the doll away, you’ll notice it examines your features. I’m sure this isn’t the last time we see it.

Head to the room on the right where you see bangs.

On the bed next to bangs is the Cool Key Card.

You’ll be tempted to go straight to the 5th floor to progress, but search through the 3rd and 4th floor first. In the first room, you’ll find a Fedora.

The Fedora gives a slight boost to Defense and Luck.

The next room has the Life Jam guy, who gives me traumatic flashbacks from when he assaulted us in the Junkyard to sell his product.

If you head to the fourth floor, you’ll notice it’s still under construction. These Gator Guys won’t attack you.

The room at the end of the hall is a ball pit. There’s nothing you can do here.

Head to the room closest to the elevator, where you’ll give away your first spooky map for the Ghost Party sidequest. You’ll notice there’s a hole in the door to the back.

When you enter the hole, you’ll be in a large scaffolding area with Gator Guy guards (these ones do attack you).

You’ll notice a big status of Hero; also, Van is there working.

Eventually, you’ll run into a dead-end because you can only continue with Aubrey (she’s the only one who can smash barrels).
That means it’s time to backtrack and head to the fifth floor.
