Welcome to GameDom’s Comprehensive Walkthrough of Omori. We’re currently using two files for dry runs through the game. One dry run through a written walkthrough and one dry run for a video walkthrough. However, we’re using the third file to work on a complete walkthrough to ensure we have a complete step-by-step guide that chronicles everything you need to know in Omori, so you can look to see if you’ve missed anything or want to follow along.

1. Sunny’s House: Night One – Part One
There are two parts to this nighttime scene for Sunny (or whatever you decide to name the main character). Your decisions throughout this part influence whether you get spooked before heading back to the dream world.
1.1 Sunny’s Room
After waking up, Sunny will see a message blinking on the phone on his desk. Walk over to the desk and click it. It will be Sunny’s mother explaining why the house is dark and where she is. (How is the phone even working if there’s no electricity?). After listening to the message, you’re free to walk out into the hallway.
The room next to Sunny’s is the bathroom. Take a look in the mirror; you’ll see Sunny and nothing else. Make a note of this for later. Also, make a note of the toilet, you’ll need it in a minute.
1.3 Mom’s Room
At the end of the hallway is Sunny’s mother’s room. There’s nothing of note in here (yet) except for Mari’s empty picnic basket. You can still save here. I would suggest doing so.
Head to the stairs, where a prompt will appear, asking if you’d like to go downstairs. Choosing yes will only allow Sunny to walk down a couple of steps before he shakes his head. You’re not able to go downstairs yet. Simply head back to Sunny’s room and attempt to go back to bed.
2.1 Sunny’s House: Night One – Part Two
There’s no avoiding it; Sunny has to go eat. Unfortunately, his anxiety gets the best of him.
2.2 Long Stairs
After waking up again because of a rumbling stomach. Sunny needs to head downstairs to the kitchen. However, when you walk outside, you’ll notice the vibe has completely changed. There’s an ominous red light shining through the hallway window, and the stairs are now much longer than before.
Start walking down the stairs where shadows will appear on either side. Grab the knife on the stairs and continue going down. At some point, a hand will start to chase Sunny down the stairs. You cannot outrun it. After it catches you, you’ll be able to use the knife on the creature, but it will do no damage. You’ll go a few turns where it damages Sunny, but you’ll eventually learn how to CALM DOWN. Once Sunny breathes through the encounter, it will end, and he will appear at the bottom of the stairs.
Once you’re at the bottom of the stairs, you’ll see another room to the right. If you try to enter, Sunny will simply shake his head. The only way you can go is down towards the living room and an immediate left into the kitchen. You’ll see a pair of hands pointing towards exactly what you should click on. Examining the fridge will get you a cold steak. Pick up the steak knife on the counter before clicking on the microwave. Unfortunately, the steak doesn’t sit too well with Sunny’s stomach, and his vision becomes skewed.
2.4 Upstairs Bathroom
Head to the upstairs bathroom, where you can see exactly what Sunny sees in the mirror. However, the only thing you’ll want to do here is to click on the toilet. Once you select the toilet, you’ll throw up, and your vision will go back to normal. The only thing left to do is head back to Sunny’s room.
After heading back to Sunny’s room, you’ll hear a loud knocking on the door. There’s nothing to do except head back down towards the front door. When you approach the door, it’s someone claiming to be Mari in the middle of the night. It’s your choice whether you want to answer the door.
Not answering the door means you can go back to Sunny’s room and begin the next chapter of the story.
Answering the door will give you a little jump scare. You’ll also want to explore the other areas of the house (including the bathroom mirror, again) to see what you’ve let into the house.
Part Four is coming soon.
