1. Back In White Space
Whether you receive your jump scare in Sunny’s house or not, you’ll get a small one when you re-enter the White Space.
1.1 The Laptop – Hangman Game
The first thing you’ll want to do when you arrive back in the White Space (after going back to sleep as Sunny) is to check your laptop. Be prepared for a small jump scare. After the jump scare, you’ll see a Hangman game. You must collect the letters from around the world on your adventure. Don’t worry about running and collecting them right now. You’ll run into them as you play.
1.2 The Headspace Map
After closing the laptop, the screen will rumble. You’ll receive a message that an item has fallen nearby. Run around the White Space until you find a map. Don’t worry, you won’t get lost in the White Space because it loops. If you somehow do get yourself lost, the floating hands will reset you back to the beginning.
2. Neighbor’s Room/Outside Trunk
There’s really nothing to do in the Neighbor’s Room unless there was something you didn’t break or click on when you were here the first time around.
2.1 Basil Is Missing
The first thing you’ll encounter in the Neighbor’s Room is Omori’s friends swarming him and informing him that Basil is nowhere to be found. If you remember, the last you saw of Basil was the end of the dream before waking up as Sunny.
The group decides to start by talking with Mari to figure out where Basil is. After you group up, the snake on the stairs will give an allowance of 200 clams.
2.3 First Key
After you step out of the trunk. You’re greeted by red footprints. Either they’re red footprints or red flower petals. We’d like to think they’re flower petals, but it’s up to interpretation.
3 Forest Playground
If you’ve already picked up the Flower Puzzle sidequest from Daisy, then there’s really nothing for you to do in the Forest Playground than speak to Mari.
3.1 Mari’s Picnic Blanket
As soon as you enter the Forest Playground, you’ll immediately start with a scene where Mari gives Omori a big hug before the group discusses the whereabouts of Basil. Hero suggests heading down to Basil’s house. That means heading through the path to Basil’s house at the south.
Before heading out of the playground, you’ll want to check out the board that was used to give a warning sign about Boss. There’s now a wanted sign for the ninth planet of the solar system: Pluto. Pack it in the back of your head, as you’ll want to remember it for later.
4. Path To Basil’s House/Basil’s House
Take the south exit of the Forest Playground. You’re going back to Basil’s house. Remember the path you took when you were learning the emotion system on the sprout moles? Fortunately, there’s no sprout moles on the way this time, but there is something you can do.
4.1 Green Thumb Achievement
Remember when you were walking towards Basil’s house with Basil? He stopped by all of his different gardens and explained how he felt the different flowers represented his friends. When you come across the first patch of flowers (the sunflowers), you’ll see one of them is withered. Grab the watering can and water the sunflower. You’ll receive the Green Thumb Achievement.
4.3 Basil’s House
Continue south towards Basil’s house. You won’t have any encounters on the way. You’ll run into Mari’s blanket again but it’s up to you whether you want to save or not. There’s really no point unless you plan on stopping there. However, I suggest heading down to Basil’s little forest grove. There’s no changes on the outside.
When you enter, a short scene with this one-eyed spirit will trigger but you the party won’t see it.
After a short discussion on Basil’s whereabouts. Aubrey suggests moving on to the Vast Forest. If you haven’t saved yet, you might as well save while heading back up since you’re passing Mari’s blanket again.
