Welcome to GameDom’s Comprehensive Walkthrough of Omori. We’re currently using two files for dry runs through the game. One dry run through a written walkthrough and one dry run for a video walkthrough. However, we’re using the third file to work on a complete walkthrough to ensure we have a complete step-by-step guide that chronicles everything you need to know in Omori, so you can look to see if you’ve missed anything or want to follow along.

1.1 Vast Forest: Pinwheel Forest (Right Side)
When you exit the Forest Playground to the south, you should head right first. This puts you on the right side of the Vast Forest. You’ll get a scene with Kel attempting to use his pet rock Hector to help find Basil. Keep an eye out for green (usable items) and blue (charms, other items) watermelons. Some are hidden behind trees.
1.1 Forest Bunny
One of the monsters you encounter in the Vast Forest is a forest bunny. Sometimes they come in pairs and have different emotions. They’re relatively easy to kill. If you find one alone, one volley of turns from each character should take out the bunny before it has a chance to attack. Their main ability is winking at a party member, which reduces their speed.
1.2 Sprout Mole
You’re already used to sprout moles. You might as well get used to them because they’re the common enemy in the game. Unlike the sprout moles in the tutorial fights on the way to Basil’s house, these ones are a little more dangerous. Keep an eye out for their ability to run around and trample party members with a multi-hit attack.
1.3 Grove #1 (Tire Swing)
You’ll come across a grove where the one-eyed spirit creature from Basil’s house disappears around the tire swing. There’s nothing you can do here, for now.
1.4 Long Ladder
Follow the red footprints on the ground. Clicking A on the gamepad or whatever you have your select button key bound to will have Omori cut through the branches getting in the way. You aren’t able to climb this ladder yet, but just remember that it’s there.
1.5 Grove #2 (Dog)
You’ll come across another grove with a big bone outside. Inside, you’ll see the ghost of a dog. Petting it will give you an item.
2. Foggy Bridge
Continue following the red footsteps until you come to the start of the Foggy Bridge. There’s nothing here of note except for a B key and a shadow figure.
2.1 B Key
As soon as you enter the Foggy Bridge, the B key will be right there for you to grab.
2.2 Shadow Figure
Continue down the long Foggy Bridge until you come to a fork in the bridge. Take a left and go up. You’ll enter a large area. Continue going up, and you’ll see a platform where a shadowy figure disappears. You’ll also see the R key. You cannot enter this area yet but just remember that it’s there.
3. Vast Forest: Pinwheel Forest (Left Side)
Continue in a straight line down the Foggy Bridge until you enter the left side of the Vast Forest. There are more groves here, a wise rock, a train station, and a big strong tree.
3.2 Grove #1 (Wise Rock)
Just north of the tentacle is another grove where you’ll encounter a wise rock. It takes clams in exchange for bad, okay, or good advice. Spend your clams as you see fit; there’s nothing really valuable found here. Maybe some good advice could be helpful to you. It all depends if you’re willing to spend the clams to do so.
3.3 Train Station
Continue into the right side of the Vast Forest, where you’ll see a sign for the train station. You’ll see a lot of interesting-looking people here. You’re not able to take the train yet, but you can pick up a side quest from an NPC named Leafie who hates bunnies. He wants you to kill a couple of bunnies outside for a charm.
3.4 Grove #2 (Hard Bulb)
There’s another grove area on the right side of the forest. There’s a hard bulb here with something inside, but there’s nothing you can do here yet.
3.5 Big Strong Tree
If you’re running haphazardly around in this part of the forest looking for watermelons, you’ll run into a tree that’s kind of standing out from the other ones. If you run into it, you’ll encounter the big strong tree. The only option for you to do here is run. You can’t damage it and the tree won’t damage you because, well, it’s just a tree.
Continue picking up green and blue watermelons in the area until you’re ready to head back to the Forest Playground.
4. Forest Playground
Continue going right and you’ll come back to the intersection, head back up into the Forest Playground.
4.1 Back To Mari
Once you get close to Mari, a cutscene will trigger where she tells you that it’s time to overcome your fear of ladders because the group wants to climb the long ladder east of the stump. It’s time to move on to the next area.
Part Six coming soon.
