The third title in the show, Nier Reincarnation, intended to be NieR Re[in] carnation, is a handheld app distribution. It was revealed on 29 March 2020, the 10th anniversary of the series.
At the moment, the only thing we know is the CyDesignation ‘s involvement in the design of the characters already involved in NieR: Automata, and the fact that it is going to be a free micropayment title.
On March 29, 2020, this game was released along with NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139. On the eve of the 10th anniversary of the store. Just one trailer was posted that didn’t reveal the action.
Earlier on the 18th April of that year, the first pictures of the game were seen, albeit without combat.
On May 7th, despite posting some pictures of the title, little much was heard about it until July 13th, when they revealed the first teaser pictures and the Japanese’s open beta announcements from July 29th to August 5th. The main website has been modified with more detail regarding the past of the game. It was also complete with certain characters and the structure inside the game.
So far, we know that:
It’s a 3D scrolling RPG.
Several key characters are available.
The phantom Mama follows both the central protagonists.
The girl in white is not Kainé but an autonomous entity, as seen in the trailers and drawings.
The combat takes place in waves of attackers.
Up to three characters are regulated (though this limit could be four characters).
