The NieR saga began as an extension of the Drakengard universe and exploded in popularity with the release of its second series, NieR: Automata. Very soon, we will have a curious spin-off that may serve to calm the cravings of a third party.
Three years have passed since the premiere of NieR Automata. It is a game that served as a sequel to the previous project launched ten years ago, NieR.
On the occasion of this tenth anniversary a few months ago, NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 was announced. However, it is a game that its own creators do not consider remaster.
Nier Re [In] Carnation Has Launched
Just Now, Square Enix has shown a new trailer for NieR Re [in] carnation, as well as announcing a closed beta for Japan on iOS and Android from July 29 to August 5. Registration is available until July 26.
It will accept 10,000 users from each platform; if the number of registrations is higher, the participants will be chosen by lottery. We also show you the new images and illustrations.
NieR Re [in] carnation is a new project in the series that was born to the success of Nier: Automata. It is also in preparation after the original remake with the name NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139.
The mobile game presents a young woman who awakens in a strange temple. Over there, she will be guided by a mysterious ghost-like creature to reclaim what she has lost.
As it is a service-style mobile game, the content will be added over time. Perhaps. It will become the NieR with the most text of all.
The project involves the creative director Yoko Taro, producer Yosuke Saito, director Daichi Matsukawa, character designer Akihiko Yoshida, and composer Keiichi Okabe (Monaca). Applibot develops it.
In the trailer, we see a group of three characters, each with their corresponding actions to fight monsters. Also, it seems that the fights will be based on a kind of wave system.
This trailer arrives on the occasion of the closed beta of the game, which will only take place in Japan. If you are there, you can register now until July 26. The beta will start from July 29 to August 5, and will only accept 20,000 participants.
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139.
Nier’s other game that is up and running is the NieR Replicant for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. However, it started as a simple remastering. During development, graphics began to be reviewed, and new story elements added, changing more than initially planned.
Designer Takahisa Taura – director of Astral Chain – is not directly involved but has overseen the action aspects. Besides, there is new music for the added zones, and more songs, songs, and choirs have been orchestrated and re-recorded. It has no release date but is expected to arrive before the 10th anniversary, April 22, 2021.
As we already knew, NieR Re [in] carnation is a mobile game also directed by Yoko Taro himself. We could see a brief excerpt of gameplay from him several months ago, but he did not reveal much. Today we have a more extended trailer showing the combat system.
