Metroid Prime 4 is a first-person action-adventure game produced by Retro Studios for the Nintendo Switch console. It is the 5th installment of the Metroid saga, the 4th in the Metroid Prime sequence, which ended Metroid Prime 3: Fraud (2007).
The video game for the Nintendo Switch console was revealed for E3 2017, but the date and status of the product launch and development. Also, the research responsible for the project has not been verified. Within days of announcing the game, Bill Trinen, Chief Marketing Officer for Nintendo of America announced that the Metroid Prime 4 development company will not be Retro Studios but will proceed to run the initial Metroid Prime series, much as in previous installments.
Shinya Takahashi, the CEO of Nintendo EPD, announced something via YouTube video in January 2019. He said that this video games would be postponed indefinitely as the business was “unhappy” with the existing state of play.
The idea was that the Retro Studios team would rebuild from scratch to conform to the production requirements in the saga.
Given the lack of coverage, Metroid Prime 4 was one of the most awaited games until the E3 2018. Still, Nintendo chose eventually not to provide its content because it did not think the business was able to satisfy the audience.
