Magic Legends Introduces the Necromancer Class

The Magic Legends team continues to update content for the action RPG based on the world of magic. In the game, players will take on the role of Planeswalkers, powerful wizards capable of traveling between worlds to defeat an ancient force.

At the beginning of the year, the developers at Cryptic Studios announced the ongoing work on the online action role-playing game “Magic Legends”.

This evening, the developers at Cryptic Studios presented us with a fresh video for the action role-playing game “Magic: Legends”. Here, we are introduced to the class of Necromancer with more details.

The five classes are geomagic, mind magic, best callers, consecration priests, and necromagic.

What Can You Expect Inside The Game?

This time, the video focuses on the class of necromancer, who, according to official information, have a variety of interesting skills and will belong to the five Planeswalker classes that will be available for the launch of the Free2Play title.

There are still a few months to get on with it, as the game’s first closed alpha took place very recently. As the official press release describes,

“The effectiveness of Necromancer relies on his ability to raise monsters and kill them for his own benefit and to destroy his enemies while coping with protracted defeat.

His main skills include Sinister Siphon, a long-term midrange assault that steals life from enemies, the Tomb Rising, a secondary offensive that attacks enemies and calls on two skeletons, and the Soul of Searing, which slows and causes long-term harm to neighboring enemies.”

In the role of the necromancer in “Magic Legends,” you master the balancing act between life on the one hand and death on the other. Summoning creatures, sacrificing them for advantage, and gradually bringing down opponents are the key to success in the role of the necromancer.

Necromancers can sacrifice their own life force to summon powerful creatures and siphon the life of their opponents and allies as their undead army grows stronger.

Necromancer: The most important skills at a glance

  • Grim Pull: A brief ranged attack that steals life from enemies over time.
  • Grave Riot: A secondary ability that deals damage to enemies and summons two skeletons.
  • Soul Corruption: An auxiliary ability that slows down nearby enemies and applies them with regular damage effects.

Magic: Legends is an online action role-playing game (free-to-play) based on Magic: The Gathering and developed by Cryptic Studios (Neverwinter, Star Trek Online) and published by Perfect World Entertainment.

It offers both PvE and PvP content, with no details on the latter yet. The game is played either alone or in groups of up to three players. Legends do not use a conventional equipment and inventory system, but a collection of cards that you use to assemble decks.

These decks determine what skills you master and what role you play in the game. Each class is therefore highly customizable.

Magic: Legends” will be released in 2021 for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

  1. I never played the Magic CCG (or the online CCG) but this might be fun. Looking forward to seeing what other classes you can play and what abilities they have.

  2. That Necromancer character in Magic Legends looks like a lot of fun. I haven’t even explored all of the characters yet in that one to be honest.

  3. OHHH I remember the Magic cards when I was a kid WOW, which PC platform will b e released? I hope it’s cross platform, now it’s more common lately this feature so! Loved the review David, it’s great that will be free to play and we have seen a great work from Perfect World Entertainment now I’m 100% hyped!
