When you first pick up the flashlight, you’re given on-screen instructions on using it depending on whether you’re using the controller or the mouse and keyboard in Little Nightmares II. Once you pick up the flashlight, you should also accustom yourself to walking backward with it, as that will help you in some mannequin areas.

If you’re on the controller, use the right joystick to move the flashlight around. On some systems, like the Nintendo Switch, you can only move the flashlight around if you’re in an area with enemies or are in combat. For PC players, the controls are whatever you have set to your keybind for using items.
