Despite all the fun we’re having with Phasmophobia on Steam, there are others who wonder if they’ll be able to join in on the fun on one of the scariest games ever made. Specifically, those on the consoles wondering if Phasmophobia is on the Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
It’s not like we’ve had a co-operative ghost hunting game before, especially one that’s capable of virtual-reality. However, there’s no denying Phasmophobia has been a hit despite there being some clear bugs. It’s forgivable for a game that is still in its early access stage.
Unfortunately, outside VR headsets do not work for the PS4. That means the headsets that work for Phasmophobia on Steam (Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Windows Mixed Reality) won’t work on the PS4.
Right now, Phasmophobia’s “cross-platform” merely means the game supports VR and non-VR. That means people who don’t have a VR headset can still join Phasmophobia game lobbies with people playing with a VR headset. While non-VR players aren’t getting the full-immersive experience that Phasmophobia has to offer, it’s still fun without a VR headset. However, it’s not very fun to play by yourself (even though it’s entirely possible to play Phasmophobia alone).
Is Phasmophobia On The PS4?
Phasmophobia is only available on Steam and not the PS4. There are no current plans for Kinetic Games, the developers of Phasmophobia, to release the game on other consoles. Phasmophobia is not available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, or Google Stadia.
