When the first Little Nightmares game released to much praise in 2017, many wondered if it would have multiplayer cooperative gameplay. If there is one thing games such as Labyrinthine, Phasmophobia, or other cooperative psychological horror games have taught us, it’s that people love getting scared together, but will Little Nightmares 2 introduce multiplayer co-op?
Little Nightmares 2 Will Have Cooperative AI Play
You won’t have to venture through the dark and daunting environment of Little Nightmares 2 alone. The developers, Tarsier Studios, confirmed the game would have the cooperative AI play of the first introduced in the first.
While this is all well-and-good, some people would prefer to play with their friends in Little Nightmares 2 rather than with an AI companion.
Will Little Nightmares 2 Allow Multiplayer Co-op?
Unfortunately, Tarsier studios have already confirmed Little Nightmares 2 won’t have a cooperative mode with other players. They don’t want to take away from the single-player experience of the game. While it is a missed opportunity, many don’t mind, as long as Little Nightmares 2 strives to reach the same success that the first title achieved.
Little Nightmares 2 will release on February 11, 2021, for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows.
