If you head to the training area and take your second door to the left, you’ll see the Entity Analyzer sitting on a table against the wall. According to the description above the item: The Entity Analyzer allows you to analyze the nearby entity. The detection is accelerated if the device targets the entity. This equipment needs to be activated to work.

If you pick up the Entity Analyzer, you’ll see the words “Signal Search” with a number directly under it. The number should read 0% if you pick it up.

If you pick up the Entity Analyzer and move to the room to the right, you’ll see a crash test dummy in the corner. This dummy is supposed to represent an entity. Getting closer to the entity will trigger the Entity Analyzer.

You’ll notice, the number on the Entity Analyzer increases the closer you get to the dummy. The same logic applies in the field as you’re undergoing your paranormal investigation.

Unlike other, more advanced, items in Ghost Hunters Corp, you can get the Entity Analyzer rather early in the game. You only need to be level two to be able to purchase the item. On top of that, the Entity Analyzer is 150 currency. Depending on how well you did in your first one or two initial investigations after starting the game, you should be able to purchase one within the first couple of games.
