You hear a heartbeat, and your flashlights start to flicker. That means the ghost in Phasmophobia has started to hunt. You have a couple of options when the ghost begins hunting:
- You can light a smudge stick.
- You can just die.
- You can run and attempt to hide.
If you don’t have a smudge stick, death doesn’t sound like a fun option. You don’t want to lose your items because you can lose your items in Phasmophobia if you die. The next best option is to hide from the ghost.
How Do I Hide From A Ghost In Phasmophobia?
If you’ve ever played through any level in Phasmophobia, you’ll see they are littered with places to hide, such as:
- Garage cabinets
Anything you can open that can fit a human body is somewhere you can hide from a ghost. Be careful about hiding in a bathroom. Sometimes the bathroom is where the ghost is. You might feel safe in the bathroom with the door closed, but if you’re dealing with a ghost, such as a wraith (that can travel through walls), then the bathroom isn’t going to do you any good.
How Do I Hide In Closets?
In each map in Phasmophobia, you’ll find different closets in bedrooms or in hallways. You simply need to click on the closet, pull it towards you, enter the closet, then close it. Hopefully, the ghost didn’t follow you in.
How Do I Hide Elsewhere?
There are other places you can hide in Phasmophobia, such as lockers. You’ll find lockers in places like Brownstone High School. You’ll also find larger cabinets in a garage in some of the houses.
It’s important during the setup phase to keep an eye open for hiding spaces. You can carry a smudge stick with you, but hiding is the next best thing if you don’t have one handy. Don’t turn around if you hear the ghost nearby. A slight hesitation can get you killed.
