Anyone who looks at The Medium Game and it’s patented dual-reality gameplay knows it’s going to take a lot of space on your drive. The original disc space for The Medium Game was much lower than expected, leading many to believe the necessary space to install the game would eventually rise, but how much disc space is required?
The Medium Game’s Minimum Requirements
OS: Windows 10 (64bit version only)
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-6600 / AMD Ryzen™ 5 2500X
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: @1080p NVIDIA GEFORCE® GTX 1650 Super or GTX 1060 / Radeon™ R9 390X
Just looking at the minimum requirements for The Medium, it’s clear the game is going to be intense. Even some recently built PCs might not be able to handle 60 fps. Some believe the hardware requirements to play The Medium are too high. The dual-reality gameplay will push even the best systems to their limit as it tries to render two detailed scenes at the same time.
How Much Disc Space Do I Need For The Medium?
The disc space necessary to install The Medium Game was increased to 55 GB. It was increased from their initial estimation because they didn’t know exactly how much space they’d need for their textures and cutscenes. After getting close to the game’s completion, they understood that having higher-res textures and cut-scenes would be taxing, and they wanted to focus on The Medium’s visual aspect.
