Final Fantasy Remake VII
Final Fantasy Remake VII

We started this new mission after completing the previous one and getting on the train to Reactor Number 5. When we are in the car with Barrett, we find a healing matter in a seat.

Soon, a series of enemy robots will appear that we must defeat. We will jump off the train and, after finishing another wave of robots, we will have to look for Barrett through the subway tunnels.

We advance along the only possible path until we achieve it and we finish with all the enemies that come before us (in addition to watching when the train passes so that it does not run us over).

Chapter 5: Stamp, Guide Puppy

We continue until we find the graffiti of the dog, which has no loss and later we will face a group of Toximantis. If they poison us, we can use an Antidote or Tifa’s Chakras ability to counter its effect in time.

Later, we will meet a Toximantis Queen who will require a little more strategy to beat her. We simply need to monitor our health and use magic like Piro to end it more easily.

As we continue, we will find a rest area and a machine to buy items, as well as some incendiary soldiers whose trick to beat them is to hit them in the deposit they have on their backs.

When we get far enough ahead (after finishing with some missile turrets and more soldiers), we must take the opposite path before turning to the right (a point marked as objective). It is because there we will find a restroom with electrical equipment and a store where buy the song 28. Stamp. We better prepare and save the game, as a tough fight awaits us later.

Chapter 5 Boss: Guardian Megacannon

When we get to chapter 5 of the Final Fantasy VII Remake story, we will meet a new robotic final boss who will make things difficult for us.

  • Primary attacks: Missile salvo, Electromagnetic field, Radiant discharge, Spiral of flames, Reinforcements, Target fixation, Onslaught, Electric beam.
  • Weaknesses: Electro
  • Strengths: Magic that affects your state (Poison, Sleep, etc.)

This great enemy robot has electricity as its weakness and is immune to the types of magic that affect changes of state. It has a great defense, so we will have to combine the attacks of Cloud, Tifa and Barrett and their unique abilities to be able to weaken it and use the BTC bars strategically at all times.

In addition, we can invoke Ifrit when its bar is loaded to help us in combat (don’t forget that apart from attacking passively, we can also order it to execute specific abilities directly).

On the other hand, it is advisable to finish off some of its robotic parts and extremities (such as its legs) to cause Fatigue (and a little vulnerable ) status more easily. In the last phase of combat, the Guardian Megacannon will become much more aggressive.

Therefore, we must change our strategy and increase our defense by blocking and dodging their attacks as much as possible. Finally, it is essential to place ourselves in a part of the road where electricity does not pass when it performs its high electrical attack.
