Yes, this is a callout post.

Square Enix and I-O Data are coming together to collaborate to bring us an SSD with the Final Fantasy XIV logo on it. This was a collaboration absolutely zero people asked for, but we realized this was something we needed once we found out about it.

Just look at it:

Now slap the SSD and imagine all the cat boys you can fit on this baby. You should really reserve the SSD for program, game, and operating system files, but no one would blame you at all if you wanted to fit all 52,612 screenshots you have of your character alone onto it.

It probably wouldn’t load your pictures any faster, but if you didn’t want an SSD to load your games faster, at least you could use it for all the G’raha Tia or Emet-Selch fanart you have on your computer.

The Final Fantasy XIV SSD can be installed with a USB, so you don’t need to break open your computer to put it into the desktop itself. You can, if you know how to do it, but we’re sure people just want to quickly get it installed so they can have a dedicated place to put all the screenshots of weird shouts they see in Limsa Lominsa.

Will The Final Fantasy XIV SSD Be Available In The West?

Unfortunately, for now, only those in Japan will get to store the thousands of Au Ra tail screenshots they have on their Final Fantasy SSD starting on December 2nd, 2020. There’s no news as to when it will come out West. The FFXIV SSD is available for pre-order in Japan now.

Is this something you’re interested in getting?
