Do you remember when Flappy Bird was released to the mobile game stores, became an overnight success, and disappeared? In its wake were thousands of imitations as bad as imitation crab meat compared to real crab meat. It seems every time a game receives some semblance of success, the dollar-store developers come out of the woodwork to capitalize on cheap ripoffs.
Phasmophobia Games On The Apple Store Are Not The Real Phasmophobia Game
To our horror, we opened the Apple Store and typed in “Phasmophobia.” Our screen was full of terrible knock-offs. Some were so lazy they used screenshots from the official game’s trailer. It seems, after Phasmophobia became a hit, they wanted to try to throw together whatever they could as quickly as they could to dupe people into downloading or purchasing their game.
Unfortunately, there are thousands who download these hoping it’s the real Phasmophobia when the game itself is only on one platform: Steam.
Does That Mean There Is No Official Mobile Game In The Works?
There are no current plans (or they haven’t stated so publicly) by Kinetic Games to create a Phasmophobia mobile port. That means any mobile game telling you that you can cross-play with PC players uses false advertising (and should probably be reported).
Don’t be fooled by fake Phasmophobia mobile games on iOS or Android.
