The Medium is truly a cinematic experience, for those who can play the game without crashing. The Medium released their patch 1.1, which included optimization, bug fixes, and crashing issues. However, this patch seems to hurt more than it helped as users report even more crashing with The Medium since its 1.1 patch on February 12th. This has led users to question whether they can revert to a previous patch in The Medium. The game won’t be as optimized, but at least it would be playable.
Is It Possible To Revert To A Previous Patch?
Bloober Team started working on a new game, which left many players wondering why they’re not focusing on fixing The Medium and patching all the glaring issues players are having. One of their developers has offered a possible fix for Steam players by having them verify their game files:
- Restart your computer and launch Steam.
- Enter The Medium’s page and select Manage > Properties.
- Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files… button.
- Steam will verify the game’s files – this process may take several minutes.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to do much for players still experiencing crashing in The Medium since patch 1.1
Bloober Team also suggests uninstalling and reinstalling the game, as they believe this has fixed some players’ issues.
If none of these issues work, the community believes the only course of action is to sit and wait for future patches to fix their previous patches.
Hopefully, we’ll get to enjoy The Medium as it was intended soon, but for now, our answer is to simply wait and hope for the best from a game many of us paid almost $50 for.
