Assassins Creed Valhalla Collectors Edition

Another year means another Assassin’s Creed series. After the stellar premieres by Origins and Odyssey, the franchise sidesteps to warmer your Christmas eve with this year’s Viking-themed Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

The second division poster shows what appears to be a Viking character with a golden globe. It suspiciously resembles the Apple of Eden from the Assassin’s Creed series. The game trailer was officially revealed earlier this year.

Here, you have everything you need to know about Valhalla, from the launch date and preorder news to the first images of the game of the new Assassin’s Creed.

When will Assassin’s Creed Valhalla be released?

The release of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is slated for the “2020 holidays,” an imprecise release period that means the end of the year at some point.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey came out in October 2018. So, a release around the same time this year might make sense. However, Ubisoft may take a couple more months for the game to launch alongside next-gen consoles. Speaking of which platform.

What platforms will Assassin’s Creed Valhalla be available on?

Ubisoft has confirmed that the next Assassin’s Creed will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Google Stadia.

However, on PC, it will be exclusive to Uplay and the epic game store. So, don’t expect to find the game on Steam.

On Xbox, it will be compatible with Smart Delivery. It means that if you buy the game once for Xbox One, you will be able to play the same copy on an Xbox Series X. Therefore, you won’t have to worry about buying it twice.

You can now preorder the game directly from Ubisoft or Amazon.

What does the season pass include?

We don’t know much about Valhalla’s season pass yet, but we do have some details. First of all, we know that purchasing it will unlock an extra quest called “The Path of the Berserker,” which will be available at launch.

Additionally, the Ubisoft Store listing reveals that the downloadable content will allow you to “explore new countries” beyond the main game’s Norway and England, and will include a story mission based on the Beowulf legend.

The Valhalla trailers

A day after the title reveal, Ubisoft followed suit with this cinematic trailer that takes the stage seriously, though not much in the way of playing:

Then, as part of the reveal of the gameplay of the Microsoft Inside Xbox Xbox series, we got our first gameplay footage from the game. Though, keep in mind that it’s more a matter of gameplay in the engine than actual gameplay:
