When you and your team are running around a larger location like Brownstone High School, The Asylum, or The Prison, it’s easy to come back to the truck and be completely shocked by how low your sanity tanked (depending on a couple of variables of course). When sweeping a larger location, you’ll need the designated truck person to help, which means there’s no one watching sanity levels. There should be a way of measuring sanity while inside a haunted location in Phasmophobia.
The idea of our character displaying the physical side effects of lower sanity is an interesting thought. Our characters should hallucinate, breathe heavier, or drop items they’re holding (forcing us to pick it back up). This would give us the indication that our sanity isn’t at normal levels.
Why restrict so much tracking technology to a truck? It would be smart to give us a smartwatch we can look down at to look at our individual sanity levels. Maybe it can also track our heart rate. A higher heart rate means we’re suffering more elevated levels of anxiety. Imagine if they added anxiety to the game?
Reduced Field Of View
Some players like to play with a higher FOV, but imagine if our field of view reduced as our sanity levels dropped. Our characters would eventually develop a tunnel vision that can only be cured with sanity pills.
That would make the game truly terrifying.
