2020 hasn’t exactly been everyone’s best year, but September will try to salvage the year with some strong game releases just in case we need to drop into lockdown again.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 combines the first two beloved Tony Hawk games and completely remastering them for modern platforms. This time, there’s going to be online multiplayer and other features not available for the first two PlayStation titles because of the original system’s limitations. Activision is bringing these titles back for the newer generation with better visuals and upgraded music. Mostly everyone who played the original titles can now share this remaster with their children on September 4th.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning

Kingdoms of Amalur

Kingdoms of Amalur is making its way back into our hands and the two dedicated people in the entire world who followed the game will get to share the remaster with their friends on modern consoles. Not only is Kingdoms of Amalur getting a remaster with Re-Reckoning, but there’s going to be some new content after the game is launched. Hopefully, this brings a much-needed revival to the series that tried so hard to fit in with the roleplaying community when it releases on September 8th.

Marvel’s Avengers

Marvel’s Avengers

Everyone is trying so hard to give this action-adventure role-playing game a chance. Anyone who purchased the special edition will get to start playing on September 1st. However, anyone else will have to wait for the official release date of September 4th. While this will be an open-world game to explore, there is a single-player story campaign to follow alongside a co-op mode where players can work together with friends. However, many are worried the game will fall into the trap of paid DLC after the planned free content in the coming months. It is trying too hard to be a “looter-shooter” type game with a superhero skin, after all. Fortunately, gamers who purchase Marvel’s Avengers for the current-generation of consoles will get to upgrade for free once the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X is released later this year.

There are a lot of other games coming out in September such as NBA 2K21, Crysis Remastered, Serious Sam 4, and others. However, people are probably going to have their hands busy for a while. It’s not like we can buy everything we want right now anyway as many of us are furloughed, so make your gaming decisions wisely.
