Phasmophobia’s Exposition update brought new life into the popular ghost hunting game with new ghost types, changes to the hunts, aesthetic changes, and much more. There are more major content patches coming to Phasmophobia including a leveling rework and “Horror 2.0,” whatever that is, but let’s take a look at some of our impressions of Phasmophobia’s Exposition Update.
D.O.T.S Are A Nice Touch To Switch Things Up
It’s nice knowing we don’t have to fear getting EMF 5 and ghost writing expecting to run through haunted houses expecting a Revenant. Adding D.O.T.S meant ghosts needed a rework on the evidence they needed. We got freezing temperatures and thought we were safe, we weren’t. We will get used to the new combination of ghost evidence, but for now, we like not knowing what we’re going to get.
New Item Aesthetic
Phasmophobia started off with generic-looking items taken directly from the Unity Store, and we’re not sure where they picked up these new items, but the new item skins in Phasmophobia’s exposition update makes the game stand out.
Death, So Much Death
Before Phasmophobia’s Exposition update, I didn’t die for months. It was easy to hide in a closet, locker, or just behind a piece of furniture where I had a minute to check my Twitter account. Now, I actually have to pay attention to what I’m doing, where I am, and what I’m holding. Every piece of equipment, not just the EMF reader, can alert the ghost to your location. This was something I didn’t learn until the last minute.
