Back 4 Blood Ridden Boss Ogre

Back 4 Blood is the game that every Left 4 Dead fan has been eagerly anticipating since it was announced and the good news is, its almost here. The open beta is live at the time of writing and players are flooding into the B4B servers to see exactly what the game has in store for them. So we thought we would give you a heads up on some of the mutants that you’ll be facing when you log in. More specifically, in this guide we take a look at the special Ridden variant, the Ogre.

What is an Ogre in Back 4 Blood?

An Ogre is a special type of boss Ridden and additionally, the biggest, most imposing creature that you will encounter within the entire game. From what we know at this moment in time, the Ogre is a boss level for the Evansburgh campaign and it is not known if there are more than one Ogre existing within the game world.

In terms of appearance, these creatures are about 20 foot tall, rise from the ground, have a human body composition with arms and legs and in terms of their structure. Their body is largely made up of decaying flesh and human bodies. This creature’s main weak spots are the head, an abscess in the palm of their right hand and a large area in the centre of their chest.

In terms of the threat they offer, Ogres are slow. However, if they do get you with a crushing blow or with a hurled projectile, expect to take huge and potentially fatal damage. It is often the best option to run from these creatures as it will take a great deal of resources to best this creature and they are very slow, so an escape is always in the cards.

As far as we are aware, there is no reward for beating an Ogre. However, it is likely that beating an Ogre early on will prevent this Ogre from showing up again in a much more confined and dangerous space. However, be sure to finish these creatures off, as they may burrow underground to avoid defeat. So that is our enemy guide for the Back 4 Blood Ridden variant, the Ogre.
