Have you been hankering for the chance to jump into a zombie apocalypse, team up with a group of ragtag individuals and pump lead into hordes of mutants? Well, first of all, talk to someone and secondly, boy do we have the game for you. Back 4 Blood arrives in October and with it, brings a familiar yet modern co-op format, a new story, fearsome enemies, exciting campaigns and a card system that makes this game feel like a Roguelike.
The card system allows players to equip abilities on the fly to make campaigns harder or easier depending on their preference and it’s a brilliant way of making this game feel fresh even after countless campaigns. However, you may be interested to know what cards are on offer here. Well, we can provide that info. We have put together a few guides detailing all the facts about every card on the roster. In this guide we look at the Poultice card.
What is the Poultice Card in Back 4 Blood?
Poultice is a defensive card within the B4B card roster. This is a card that allows you to give your injured teammates a little more health when you patch them up. The card comes into play when the player chooses to use a health pack to heal their teammate. If they do so, they will gain an extra 15HP which will gradually heal over the space of the following 30 Seconds. This is essentially like a slow release of the group therapy perk but for only one teammate.
Much like the Group Therapy card, this one is not made to be a lead card as this is very situational and will only offer a benefit in select situations where you choose to heal a comrade instead of yourself. However, for a dedicated healer, this can be a nice card to have in your arsenal just in case this situation arises. However, we would argue there are much better options available.
How Do I Earn Cards in Back For Blood?
The player earns cards in Back for Blood by completing supply lines. This is basically like a battle pass that a player can use to obtain new cards so long as they complete campaigns and earn XP to do so. Players can speed up this progress by using corruption cards that offer extra rewards but also make the action much more difficult throughout the campaign. So if you want to expand your basic card deck, get out there and complete some levels.
What is the Relevance of the Top Card?
Your leading card in the Back 4 Blood card deck is your most important card. Unlike the other cards in this deck, this card will be active for your entire campaign. So make sure that you choose a particularly powerful card that is conducive to your overall playstyle.
