Back 4 Blood has a lot of similarities to the game, Left 4 Dead. The format is basically the same, the game relies heavily on co-op functionality and the enemies and characters are based loosely on older content. Yet despite this, the developers have produced a game that feels fresh while still offering a healthy dose of nostalgia. One of the mechanics that has helped this game stay fresh and new is the card system that has been implemented. This mechanic allows players to choose perks and power-ups to take with them on their zombie onslaught.
Well, in the spirit of getting up to speed with this new mechanic. We are producing a series of guides to help you get your head around these new cards. In this guide, we look specifically at the card, Medical Expert.
What is the Medical Expert Card in Back for Blood?
The medical expert card is a defensive time card that you can equip in B4B. These card are essentially stat boosts and abilities that help you stay alive above all else. This card specifically allows the player to move with more efficiency for fifteen seconds and also allows you to be 15% more proficient when it comes to administering healing items. So not only can you make it to your fallen comrades before they die. They will also have about 15% more health to work with when they are back on their feet.
This can be an excellent card for teams that primarily have combat skilled characters that aren’t all that great at looking out for their health bar. If you have a medic like Doc in your team already this may be overkill but again, better save than sorry.
How Do I Earn Cards in Back For Blood?
The player earns cards in Back for Blood by completing supply lines. This is basically like a battle pass that a player can use to obtain new cards so long as they complete campaigns and earn XP to do so. Players can speed up this progress by using corruption cards that offer extra rewards but also make the action much more difficult throughout the campaign. So if you want to expand your basic card deck, get out there and complete some levels.
What is the Relevance of the Top Card?
Your leading card in the Back 4 Blood card deck is your most important card. Unlike the other cards in this deck, this card will be active for your entire campaign. So make sure that you choose a particularly powerful card that is conducive to your overall playstyle.
